Travel to York:

• The meeting will take place at the Hospitium in the Yorkshire Museum Gardens.
• Note that this is in the York city centre and not on the University of York campus!

• Access to York is mainly by car or rail and there are direct lines from London, Manchester, and Edinburgh.

  Tickets can be purchased in advance through National Rail.
  From London:
 Great North Eastern Trains run a very frequent service from London Kings Cross Station to York. The journey on express routes is under two hours and first class accommodation is available. Most trains are fully serviced with buffet facilities. Trains run at half hourly intervals on the hour and half-hour all day between 9.00am and 7.00pm.
  From Birmingham:
 Trains from Birmingham to York are operated by Virgin Cross Country Trains and run regularly from Birmingham New Street Station.
  From Manchester:
 Operated by Northern Spirt, frequent services to York are available from both Manchester Airport and the central Oxford Road station.
  From Edinburgh/Glasgow:
 Express services, operated by Great North Eastern Railways to London stop at York and are extremely frequent.
  
  

Accommodation

The EPS accommodation bookings website can be found here: EPS York Website. In addition, there are a very limited number of study bedrooms (no smoking, shared facilities) available for 2 or 3 nights at $50 per night. These include bed and breakfast at York St. John University. York St. John is not part of the University of York, but its campus is conveniently near to the conference venue (see map at Conference Venue and surroundings). These accommodations are very basic and have shared facilities and are intended for students and those on a very tight budget.
