This year’s meeting will take place at York University (hosted by the Centre for Integrative and Applied Neuroscience) from June 1st to 3rd, followed by the “Cognition and Action” Satellite event (https://www.yorku.ca/research/cian/csbbcs-satellite/). The CSBBCS / SCSCCC meeting offers a premier forum for researchers in brain, behavioural, and cognitive sciences to share their latest findings, stay abreast of emerging discoveries, and engage with colleagues who share similar interests.

WiCSC+ Meeting
The 2026 WICSC+ program will honour this year's award winners, offer 2 events (detailed below), and conclude with a welcome reception with snacks and beverages at the end of the session (in collaboration with 2026 CSBBCS / SCSCCC meeting organizers).
PROGRAM DETAILS:
1) Socioeconomic Experiences in Academia: A WiCSC+ Program & Community Survey at the 2026 Annual CSBBCS / SCSCCC Meeting at York University, June 1, 12:30, Main Hall
This WiCSC+ program brings together students, trainees, and faculty to reflect on how socioeconomic factors, particularly first-generation identities, impact experiences in academia within our cognitive science community.
The session will feature panelists who identify as first-generation scholars, and preliminary responses from an anonymous community survey designed to capture a broad range of socioeconomic experiences across career stages (note that ALL are invited to contribute, regardless of first-generation identity).
If you wish to contribute to the survey, the link is here:

2) Speed Mentoring
In addition to the main program, WICSC+ will also hold its Speed Mentoring event for trainees (undergrads, grads, postdocs) and if there is demand, early career faculty. Special thanks for the WICSC+ Trainee Board for organizing this event!
In this event, trainees get a series of short one-on-one conversations with researchers from various fields in cognitive science, covering topics like research, academic careers, and more.
